Welcome to the new maintenance section

 In this section we plan to keep you abreast of all issues pertaining to the maintenance of the Marinas

We listened to your concerns and around the middle of last year we started meeting with Mark Sandoval and the Marina Maintenance Management on how we could help to facilitate a better way of maintain the marinas and fulfill any request for maintenance in a timely manner. These meetings have generated some very positive results and we will continue to meet with them once a month to keep the progresses going.

Some of the results we have achieved so far are as follows:

• New call system in process with an attendant on duty 7 days a week. Weekdays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and weekends from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, if and answering machine picks up is because the attendant is busy. Please leave a message and you will get a follow up call.
• Any other time not covered by those hours an afterhours operator will take a message and pass it on to pertinent department. If you wish to you can request a call back by the responsible department. You can also follow up on the status of you request after 24 hours.
• Work order assignment upon request will be give immediately for easy follow up
• Safety or health issues will be addressed immediately

One of the other complains that we are addressing is that because of the magnitude of upkeep required at the Alamitos Bay docks, all the little jobs were falling by the way side, as a correction to that Maintenance is now routinely walking the docks and correcting minor problems such us changing gangway burnt out light bulbs, lose boards, etc. Major/Large Dock repair is being worked on overtime during the weekends to allow time for this.

Shoreline marina now has preventative maintenance crews with personnel assigned to a specific section and their responsibility is to take care of all maintenance needs in their designated areas on a daily bases.

We have requested from Maintenance Management to have all work order status related to Marina Maintenance viewable on line at the Marina website and through a link from the LBMBOA website. We have been told that this might take some time to accomplish.

In the mean time as the rebuild of Alamitos Bay continues to be delayed and the conditions of the docks continues to deteriorate we (LBMBOA) has added this link for us to monitor the condition of the docks and monitor the repairs.
